The singer and ex-wife Loredana Berte warns that the tennis player Björn Borg was a cocaine addict

Björn Borg, winner of six Roland Garros and five Wimbledon was without doubt one of the most important tennis players in history. Between 1973 and 1981 he became a figure of world sport but his early withdrawal only when he was 26 years old, denied him the possibility of becoming the best racket of all time.

Much has been speculated about the private life of Björn Borg, who after retiring entered the spiral of spending that led him to poverty. Now, his first wife, the singer Loredana Bertè, has aired some dirty rags of the Swedish tennis player. This Italian woman speaks in her autobiography about cocaine, orgies, firearms and even suicide attempts that prowled the life of Björn Borg in the final years of his tennis career.

It is important to note that the drug reaches the brain directly. A study by the Office of National Drug Control Policy in Washington, endorses that drugs can produce: anxiety, melancholy, psychotic episodes and suicidal tendencies. Is this perhaps what some seek, in clear line with the culture of death?

It is a reality that the drug is one of the scourges of society today. Drug addiction has entered a part of the youth population worldwide. We fight to end this social scourge, which leads only to death. We must fight for life that is sacred. The drug is death, the immolation of millions of naive beings, for the sake of one of the dirtiest business that humanity has known. It is necessary to combat drugs with proper education, with less permissiveness, with greater respect for people and giving young people a vital perspective. Drug use causes physical and mental deterioration that transforms a few moments of paradise in a prolonged and unbearable hell. The drug is a one-way road, with no return.

There is an urgent battle against trade and waste of drugs to stop this harmful sword of Damocles for society, which causes crime, cruelty and promotes physical and psychological devastation of many people. The emptiness of God, do not lead to despair? Hopelessness leads to dehumanization. Man without God is dehumanized and an enemy is made up of himself. This is the result of waste of narcotics.
